The 3rd Annual Montana White Doubles Racquetball Tournament was a huge success. This fund-raiser was held at Schoeber's Athletic Club in San
Jose on April 21, 2001 and brought in $12,364! That's a 22% increase from last year! Half of the money will be donated to Northern California SIDS
(Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) Alliance and the other half to HAND (Helping After Neonatal Death).
This tournament was in honor of Montana Lafayette White, born on April 28, 1998 to Cherisse and Chuck White - and passed away in her mother's
arms on May 8, 1998 from SIDS.
The Whites would like to thank: Schoeber's Athletic Club who donated use of their entire club and facilities; Safeway, Costco, Round Table,
Stephen's Meats and Outback Steakhouse for donations of food and catering services; the following sponsors: The Berry's, Level 111 Services,
Halsey Enterprises, Damm Good Water of Hollister, Dynamic Form, Discovery Enterprises, Solid Impressions and Custom Creations; and the
volunteers who helped organize and orchestrate the event.
HAND would like the thank Cherisse and Chuck White for their very generous donation of time and money and their continuing effort to increase
public awareness regarding Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and HAND's services.
Watch for more events to come, where individuals, couples and families can come together, all the while benefiting this cause.
